Peace Concert in Bukavu: Music as a Tool for Unity and Dialogue

In 2022, Peace Foundation DRC (PF-DRC) organized a powerful Peace Concert in Bukavu, bringing together communities through music and artistic expression. This initiative aimed to promote unity, understanding, and peace in a context where dialogue and social cohesion remain essential.

A Platform for Peace Through Music

Organized by Peace Music Academy in collaboration with Bakerview Music Academy from Canada, the concert was held on Sunday, 26 June 2022, at the Adonaï Parish (Av. Hippodrome No. 19A) in Bukavu. The event gathered participants from different backgrounds, united by a shared desire to promote peace.Theme: Music as a Tool for Peace

The concert was held under the theme:
“Music, an effective tool for the promotion of peace, a channel for dialogue and the coming together of people.”

This theme highlighted the role of music as a universal language capable of transcending differences and fostering mutual understanding.

Engaging Communities Through Artistic Expression

Through performances, songs, and artistic presentations, the concert created a space for expression, reflection, and connection. Artists used their talents to convey messages of hope, reconciliation, and solidarity.
