Christian Leadership and Peacebuilding Training in Bukavu, DR Congo
From 28 to 29 June 2022, Peace Foundation DRC organized a training workshop at the Centre Régional de Paix (RIO) in Bukavu. Led by Heidi Epp, the workshop focused on Christian leadership, creative peacebuilding, and peaceful conflict resolution, bringing together participants committed to fostering positive change in their communities.
Equipping Leaders for Community Impact
The training aimed to strengthen the capacity of local leaders by providing practical tools grounded in Christian values. Participants engaged in discussions and exercises designed to enhance their ability to lead with integrity, wisdom, and a commitment to peace.
Focus on Creative Peacebuilding
A key component of the workshop was the concept of creative peacebuilding. Participants explored innovative approaches to addressing conflict, emphasizing dialogue, understanding, and collaboration as alternatives to violence.
