• PEACE FOUNDATION-DRC: "PF-DRC" is a Non-Profit Non-Governmental and apolitical Association created in Bukavu, in the Province of South Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo, on July 24, 2019. It is registered with the Ministry of Justice and Keeper of the Seals under the number N°JUST./SG/20/1840/2023, and the acknowledgment of receipt is F92/52.787, in accordance with Congolese legislation, in strict compliance with the law n°004/2001 of July 20, 2001, which provides general provisions applicable to Non-Profit Organizations and Public Utility Establishments. The establishment of PF-DRC marks a significant milestone in the pursuit of peace and social progress in the region and beyond.
ACTIVITIES ALREADY ACHIEVED
PF-DRC has successfully conducted training sessions that focus on equipping Christian leaders with the necessary skills to promote peace within their communities. The training not only addresses conflict resolution but also encourages creative approaches to peacebuilding and community engagement.
In a significant stride towards enriching musical education, the Peace Music Academy, in partnership with Bakerview Music Academy from Canada, embarked on a transformative journey by conducting a training program for music instructors in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo). This initiative, aimed at enhancing the musical landscape of the region, witnessed the participation of more than 38 enthusiastic music instructors.
In a dynamic exchange of musical experiences, Peace Music Academy from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) and Bakerview Music Academy from Canada came together on March 22, 2022, for a virtual collaboration that transcended geographical boundaries. Through the power of technology, this event marked a significant milestone in fostering cross-cultural musical connections.
In a heartwarming conclusion to the International Women’s Day celebrations, an impactful event was hosted in , Sud-Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). With the resonating theme “Rural Women Have the Right to Equality,” this event not only celebrated the achievements of women but also underscored the need for gender equality and social justice in all corners of society.
In the heart of the serene village of Muku, nestled within the Walungu territory, a crucial initiative is taking root that promises to shape the future of the community. The Muku Institute, in collaboration with PF-DRC, is embarking on a transformative journey by introducing school-based sexual education programs.
In a symphony of unity and harmony, PF-DRC orchestrated a remarkable Peace Concert in 2022 that resonated with the power of music and artistic expressions. With a profound intention to sow the seeds of peace, this vibrant concert served as a catalyst for spreading messages of unity, understanding, and goodwill.
