Who are we?
- PEACE FOUNDATION-DRC: "PF-DRC" is a Non-Profit Non-Governmental and apolitical Association created in Bukavu, in the Province of South Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo, on July 24, 2019. It is registered with the Ministry of Justice and Keeper of the Seals under the number N°JUST./SG/20/1840/2023, and the acknowledgment of receipt is F92/52.787, in accordance with Congolese legislation, in strict compliance with the law n°004/2001 of July 20, 2001, which provides general provisions applicable to Non-Profit Organizations and Public Utility Establishments. The establishment of PF-DRC marks a significant milestone in the pursuit of peace and social progress in the region and beyond.
OUR VISION
PF-DRC's vision is to multiply actions and encourage initiatives focused on gender promotion, the empowerment of Christian and secular leaders committed to peace consolidation and conflict resolution. The vision of the organization extends to the protection of the environment and the preservation of the planet's natural resources. It is dedicated to playing an active role in the fight against climate change and the destruction of the biotope. By engaging in environmental advocacy, the Foundation aims to contribute to the long-term sustainability and ecological balance of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Great Lakes African region.
OUR MISSION
PEACE FOUNDATION-DRC's mission is multi-faceted and comprehensive. Firstly, it seeks to sensitize, educate, train, and inform communities about actions aimed at establishing lasting peace. The Foundation believes that sustainable peace is achieved through a collective effort, involving both education and awareness. Secondly, PF-DRC takes on the crucial responsibility of initiating mediation and reconciliation activities among conflicting groups. It firmly believes that dialogue and understanding are the key to resolving conflicts and fostering a peaceful coexistence among diverse communities. Thirdly, the Foundation aims to undertake social, charitable, and humanitarian actions, fostering a culture of peace in every aspect of life. By addressing socio-economic challenges, supporting vulnerable populations, and promoting inclusivity, the organization actively contributes to the transformation of conflicts and the promotion of peaceful cohabitation.
